Hair transplant costs in Cardiff

One of the first things that come to people’s mind about hair transplant costs is that if Rooney had one, the price must be stellar.

While such aesthetic treatments have become more affordable, quotes from a hair clinic in Cardiff, Manchester, or London will still show relatively high prices.

The number of hairs you need and the technique will affect the total cost, however, the economic situation also plays an important role.

We carry out hair transplants in London, Paris and Budapest. But no matter the location, you will have the same experience.

We have set the same standards and protocols, and our clinics are eager to host you in an exclusive environment with caring staff.

At our London clinic, FUE hair transplants cost between £1989 to £9042.

As the running costs of a private hair loss clinic are much lower in Hungary, at our flagship clinic in Budapest you can find even better prices.

Our comprehensive treatment packages – including the surgery, accommodation and airport transfers – range from £1490 to £3890.

For more information and a quote tailored to your needs, please contact us!

Which hair transplant method do we use?

Nowadays, looking for a hair transplant in Cardiff, you can choose from 3 techniques: FUT, FUE or FUE2.

At HairPalace clinic we use the most modern FUE2 method to restore your thinning hair. It is the result of years of rigorous development to further refine the FUE (follicular unit extraction).

Similarly to its predecessor harvests the follicular units individually from the donor area at the back of the head.  However, thanks to its blunt-headed drill it offers the higher success rate, with usually 90-95% of the implants growing back.

Furthermore, the FUE 2 SafeSystem method is:

  • completely pain-free
  • doesn’t leave visible scars
  • provides the highest success rate in the hair transplant field
  • the results will look more natural as the surgeon can mimic the natural density
  • decreases recovery time

If you have any questions about the procedure, do not hesitate to contact our office and ask for a consultation appointment. Our consultants would be happy to answer all of your questions.

Hair transplant reviews from Cardiff

We are dedicated to providing excellent service whether you are looking for a hair transplant in Cardiff, London or Budapest.

But don’t just take our word for it.

Many of our satisfied patients did not hold their opinion back, take a look at some of their reviews:

Marvellous Service

Very friendly, polite and professional team. Clearly highly competent and experienced in their field of expertise. Every effort was made to make the treatment as comfortable and pleasant as possible. A prerequisite before commencing treatment is to undertake a blood test package at a local clinic to make sure that the treatment is suitable and safe to offer, this inspires great confidence in their responsible approach to medical surgical treatment provision. I didn’t have to do this at my other first transplant clinic.
Even the lunchtime food and choice on their menu is excellent.
Finally perhaps most importantly, the cost. Not too many people have many, even tens of thousands of pounds available to afford such treatment. To put things into perspective, I very strongly advise you get a quote from HairPalace because their pricing is simply in a different league.
I Very highly recommend HairPalace to anyone even vaguely considering looking at having a hair transplant procedure, you don’t need to look any further than here!

How much is a hair transplant in Southampton?

Lately hair restoration procedures became more and more widely available. However, opting for a hair clinic in Southampton can still cost you up to £15000 for a single session.

The total costs will be affected by how many hairs you need, and the hair transplant method you choose.

With us, you can have your hair transplant carried out in London or in Budapest. At our clinics, we have set the same standards and policies to ensure that you get the same quality and care.

At our London hair clinic, FUE2 procedures are available between £1989 to £9042.

However, by purchasing a flight ticket to Budapest instead of a railcard to London,  you can see a substantial drop in the price.

Why?

Because of the economic differences between the UK and Hungary, the upkeep of a private clinic in central London is considerably higher than in Budapest.

The lower expenses allow us to offer more affordable prices for the same services. As a result, our hair transplant prices in Budapest range between £1490 to £3890.

You may find further information on our package prices here, but if you’d like to consider a quote fitting your needs, please feel free to contact our team!

Which hair transplant method do we use?

The latest breakthrough in hair transplantation was the FUE2 SafeSystem method – we use this technique at each of our clinics.

This refined version of the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) extracts and implants the hairs individually. However, as it utilizes a blunt incision needle it prevents harm to the follicles upon extraction. The healthier roots produce better regrowth, without requiring the doctors to overharvest the donor area.

Furthermore, the FUE2 SafeSystem method is:

  • completely pain-, and scar-free
  • provides the highest success rate in the hair transplant field
  • provides natural-looking results
  • reduces the recovery period
  • minimally invasive

Hair Palace – My Experience

Having previously had treatment in London UK some seven years ago, I was slightly concerned with the outcome from Hair Palace and travelling to Budapest, however the liaison between them reassured me that this would be a good result and it surely was.
On the day of the surgery the staff at the clinic were fantastic and immediately made me feel relaxed. They were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The actual procedure was straightforward and easy and everything went smoothly with minimal discomfort.
The result was brilliant and I was overwhelmed with the result and would certainly recommend them to anyone wishing to have a hair transplant. The treatment and end result was much better than in the U.K.
Keep up the good work!

Jamie Laing’s hair transplant: Was it necessary?

$

0

As one of Laing’s most distinctive features is his bright blonde locks, the story of his hair transplant journey received widespread coverage in the media. But did Jamie Laing really undergo a hair transplant? And if so, what kind of treatment did he choose?

In this post, we’ll take a closer look at the Jamie Laing hair transplant, its results, and more!

Jamie Laing's successful hair transplant

Who is Jamie Laing?

Jamie Laing is best known for appearing in Made in Chelsea, one of the UK’s biggest structured reality television series, though he’s branched out into other areas in recent years.

In 2020, he reached the final of Strictly Come Dancing with his dance partner Karen Hauer, after a foot injury forced him to pull out of the previous series.

Laing has also appeared on Celebrity Hunted, Hollyoaks, and more. He has two podcasts, Private Parts and 6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer, with his Made in Chelsea co-stars Francis Boulle and Spencer Matthews respectively.

Did Jamie Laing have a hair transplant?

The short answer is yes, Jamie Laing did have a hair transplant.

Unlike some other celebrities who have opted for a hair restoration treatment, Laing chose to be incredibly open about his experience. He joins the likes of James Nesbitt and Wayne Rooney, both of whom have been frank about their hair loss struggles. Nesbitt, in particular, has credited his amazing hair rejuvenation with helping him win more leading roles.

The Jamie Laing hair transplant journey began with a fairly ill-judged comment from his friend and fellow Made in Chelsea star, Francis Boulle, who told him he “looked old” compared to his then-girlfriend Heloise Agostinelli (just 19 at the time, more than a decade younger than Laing).

In 2018, Laing appeared on Made in Chelsea after his transplant: the new hairline was clearly visible thanks to his shaved head. The post-treatment growth was still some way from coming through, but it was obvious that his hair would look significantly more youthful in the future.

Did he really need a hair transplant?

Was the Jamie Laing hair transplant procedure really necessary?

By studying pre-treatment photos of Laing, it’s clear that his hairline had receded over time even though the hair on top of his scalp appeared healthy. This is a far cry from, say, Wayne Rooney and Jason Gardiner, both of whom had experienced severe hair loss.

A bejegyzés megtekintése az Instagramon

Jamie Laing (@jamielaing) által megosztott bejegyzés

But he felt strongly enough about the condition of his hair that he decided to join a friend on their visit to a hair clinic in 2018. Laing claims that when he removed his hat, the experts at his chosen hair clinic told him he didn’t need surgery.

As he was there, though, Laing felt the treatment was still worthwhile and went ahead with it regardless.

He has discussed his surprise when he discovered how long the treatment would take and the usual duration of the regrowth process. Both can vary from case to case, but Jamie’s surgery lasted for eight hours and his regrowth was projected to take up to a year.

However, Laing’s results were fantastic — his hair looked fuller and more youthful when he appeared on Strictly Come Dancing.

What kind of treatment did he have?

It appears that a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method was chosen for the Jaime Laing hair transplant procedure.

FUE is a highly-popular option for men and women who want a minimally invasive solution. During the treatment, the surgeon extracts healthy hair follicles from the back and sides of the head, which usually remain unaffected by hair loss.

These are implanted into the balding area on top of the scalp, whether this is at the back, front, or in the centre.

Surgeons tend to recommend FUE over its alternative, Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), as it leaves no visible scars.

A FUT procedure will leave visible scarring as the surgeon cuts a strip of flesh from the back of the head to harvest its follicles, instead of taking them from multiple spots. This scar can leave patients with less flexibility in their choice of hairstyle if they want to keep their surgery discreet.

How much did the hair transplant cost?

It’s unknown exactly how much Laing paid for his surgery, but it can cost in excess of £9,000 in the UK (for procedures involving 6000 hairs).

Fortunately, though, you can save up to 50% if you visit a reputable, trustworthy hair clinic outside the UK.

HairPalace’s Budapest team offers hair transplants involving 6000 hairs for just £3,890, while those with 3000 hairs are available for only £2,350.

Other packages are available to suit your own hair loss and growth goals.

HairPalace uses the FUE2 Safe System, the most innovative hair restoration technology available. This makes no incisions and ensures 95 to 100% of implanted hairs will grow back after implantation.

Jamie Laing’s appearance before and after the surgery

Jamie Laing’s hair transplant left him with a lower hairline and more density at the front of his scalp.

In the photograph from 2017 below, Laing’s shaved hair is significantly shorter than it is today, which makes the height of the hairline more visible:

Jamie Laing (@jamielaing) által megosztott bejegyzés

But in the picture from 2020 below, Laing’s hair is transformed. The hairline has been lowered and become more dense.

This has left Laing with more freedom to wear his hair at any length, in any style, and experiment to his heart’s content!

This is the case for the vast majority of men and women who decide to try a hair transplant using the latest solutions.

FAQ

Did Jamie Laing have a hair transplant?

Yes, Jamie Laing had a hair transplant in 2018.

Did Jamie Laing really need a hair transplant?

Jamie Laing claims he was told he didn’t need a hair transplant but went through with it, to achieve a more youthful look after a comment from his Made in Chelsea co-star Francis Boulle.

Did he ever confirm that he had the surgery?

Laing confirmed the surgery and discussed it in detail on his podcast, Private Parts.

Neil’s stunning hair transplant result after 12 months

A receded hairline or a thinned out crown can make you look 10 years older.

And who wouldn’t be bothered by that their reflection doesn’t look as young as they are, as they feel?

Thus, it’s not surprising that each year more and more men look for options to restore their hair.

Hair transplant surgeries provide permanent results, and modern technologies allow pain-free, non-invasive procedures.

Neil opted for a FUE2 treatment at our clinic at the age of 39. In this post, we will show you how his hair improved after his surgery, step-by-step!

Neil’s hair before the hair transplant

Neil had been slowly losing his hair for around 10 years before he got in touch with our clinic in January 2018.

He sent us photos of his head, taken from various angles.

This allowed our doctors to properly assess the extent of his hair loss, his donor area and to see his natural density.

Based on the pictures, his hair loss reached a Norwood 3V with more extensive hair loss at the front, and minor thinning at the crown area:

Neil in our consultation before the surgery
Neil’s hairline and crown before the hair transplant

The frontal area alone required 5-6000 hairs, depending on the hairline he preferred.

Addressing the thinning at the crown called for an around 1000 hairs. Thus, we recommended Neil our 5-6000 hairs packages, noting that we will precise the number on the day of the surgery.

A natural, aesthetic hair transplant result requires a highly tailored approach.

Besides the characteristics and the condition of the hair and scalp, there are several individual aspects that a hair restoration specialist considers.

If you would like to get expert advice and a quote fitting your needs, we invite you to an in-depth consultation.

Get a free hair analysis NOW!

Neil’s FUE2 hair transplant

We performed Neil’s hair transplant on the 5-6th of December 2018 transplanting 7316 hairs in total.

In the vast majority of the cases, we can transplant 6000 hairs maximally in a single session.

While the quality of Neil’s donor area exceeded the initial expectations, having an exceptional donor area is not enough to transplant more if needed.

Though the hair transplant is considered non-invasive, it involves medication, which must also be kept in safe limits.

Additionally, medical conditions and/or other medications must also be considered.

In Neil’s case, it was both possible and safe to transplant more hairs, so we discussed the option with him, and he decided to go for it.

We have implanted 6100 hairs to the front, to fill up the hairline, and 1216 hairs to the crown to increase the density:

Neil after the FUE2 surgery

The post-op progress

After the surgery, the result evolves gradually, over 12-15 months.

We provide thorough aftercare; while we remain available to answer all questions after the surgery, we also check the implanted hairs regularly, at the main milestones.

The first part of the process is when the tiny wounds heal and the newly implanted hairs anchor in.

This is when both the scalp and the hairs are sensitive, so patients have to follow a few special instructions on haircare.

For a week, they must keep the scalp clean with sterile saline solution.

The scabs you see on the pictures below have to be gently soaked off during the second week:

Neil 1 week after the FUE2 transplant
Neil 1 week after his hair transplant

In the first 3 weeks, patients cannot cover their head; however, they must be careful with the weather; and they have to avoid physical exertion.

But after this period, they can return to their everyday routine.

The transplantation disrupts the growth cycle of the transplanted hair follicles.

From the 4th week, the roots enter telogen (resting) phase – at the end of this stage, the hair strands fall out.

As a result, patients experience hair fall between week 3 and month 3.

Neil's hair 3 weeks and 3 months after the procedure
Neil’s hair 3 weeks and 3 months after the procedure

New hair growth on the implanted area typically begins from the 4th post-op month.

The change is gradual: as not all the hairs start growing at the exact same moment, the density improves month by month.

The implanted area 6 months after the surgery

Neil’s hair transplant result

The result concludes 12-15 months after the hair transplant.

The final look is unique to each patient: besides the number of the implants and the quality of the procedure, the colour and texture of the hair will also influence the overall effect.

We checked Neil’s hair a year after his procedure and we were glad to learn that he was very happy with the result, it matches his expectations.

Based on the photos, we could agree that the result turned out great – the implanted hairs have regrown well, providing even, natural density all over:

Rob Brydon’s spectacular hair transplant results

$

0

Rob Brydon has gained attention for more than just his comedic talent over the years, as the media has speculated on his hair transformation again and again.

As with many other celebrities, Brydon’s thinning hair appeared to have become thicker within a short period of time — but was this the result of a hair transplant?

In this post, we’ll explore those Rob Brydon hair transplant rumours, the drastic change in his appearance, and the type of treatment he may have chosen.

And we’ll even tell you how you can transform your hair with the latest restorative treatments.

Who is Rob Brydon?

Rob Brydon is one of the UK’s foremost comedy actors and television presenters.

He’s known for his exceptional work in Gavin & Stacey, Would I Lie to You?, The Trip, and many other popular projects.

The Welshman’s career started in the 1980s and over the years, he expanded his portfolio as a writer, producer, and voice-over actor.

He is an honorary fellow of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and in 2013 he was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire.

When did Rob Brydon have a hair transplant?

The topic of Brydon’s hair transplant was covered in brief in a 2009 Daily Mail article, specifically the actor’s response to the rumours.

He joked: “For some time now my head has been feeling a lot warmer but I was unable to put my finger on the reason why.

I’d like to reassure any concerned readers that I won’t rest until I get to the root of this.”

He continued: “In the meantime, I’m going to check my height to see if I’ve got any taller.”

He’s clearly poking fun at himself and his height, but sheds no light on whether there’s truth to the speculation.

The picture below, taken in 2008, clearly shows Brydon’s receding hairline. The growth around the back and sides of the head looks healthy, though, which makes him an ideal candidate for a hair transplant.

However, the 2010 photograph below shows an obvious change in his hairline.

The growth on top of his scalp appears just as dense and strong as that around the sides.

More recent photographs show that Brydon’s hair growth remains healthy, more than a decade after his alleged transplant. This was Brydon in 2020:

What is a successful hair restoration treatment?

A successful hair transplant creates more density and coverage in thinning or bald areas.

Hair loss can be an incredibly difficult condition, especially when it starts to affect someone in their 20s or 30s.

And while certain products claim to offer “miraculous” hair restoration, a cutting-edge hair transplant is the most effective way to cultivate healthier growth.

The below images show a patient’s receding hairline before surgery and the remarkable results:

Before and after the FUE2 hair transplant

Countless men and women have restored their hair growth with state-of-the-art surgical procedures, just like the man photographed in these images.

His hair appears thicker, fuller, and totally natural — it’s hard to believe the same person appears in both pictures.

Have the Rob Brydon hair transplant rumours ever been confirmed?

During a 2016 Daily Mail interview, Rob Brydon invited a journalist to inspect his hair when the topic of his alleged transplant arose.

The journalist noted that there was “no sign of trichological jiggery-pokery”, while Brydon claims the change in his hairline is due to “inexplicable regrowth”.

But if he really did have one, it’s unclear why Brydon would choose to lie about his hair transplant.

There’s no shame in feeling uncomfortable with hair loss or undergoing a restorative procedure. Many men opt for hair transplant surgery every year, all over the world, for everything from moderate to severe hair loss.

Still, whether Brydon actually underwent a hair transplant or not, his hairline looks fantastic today — and that’s the important thing.

What kind of hair transplant did Rob Brydon have?

If Rob Brydon had a hair transplant, it’s likely he chose the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique.

This is a popular alternative to the more outmoded Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) method.

During FUT procedures, the surgeon cuts a strip of flesh from the back of the head and dissects it, to separate follicular units in preparation for the transplant.

These are implanted into incisions across the target area, and will create new hair growth over time.

However, this approach leaves a visible scar on the back of the head, which can limit the patient’s styling options following recovery.

Anyone who wants to keep the scarring hidden would need to wear their hair longer than they may otherwise choose to.

But that’s not the case with the minimally invasive FUE technique: a surgeon takes healthy follicles from the donor areas (the back and sides) before transplanting them into the balding regions on the scalp.

The FUE hair transplant leaves no visible scarring, which explains why the Daily Mail journalist who interviewed Rob Brydon in 2016 would have seen no signs of surgery.

Sir Elton John’s Hair Transplantation Journey

$

Elton John is one of the biggest stars in the music industry, and has been for decades.

He’s best known for such hits as Candle in the Wind, Your Song, Rocket Man, Tiny Dancer, Daniel, Step into Christmas, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, Sacrifice — the list goes on and on.

And let’s not forget his CBE, his Academy Awards, his Grammy Awards, his charity work, or Rocketman, the recent movie based on his fascinating life and career.

The man is, quite simply, a living legend.

As a hit-making powerhouse, Elton John has received widespread attention for reasons beyond his musical skills or philanthropy. Including his hair loss.

This has been a common point of discussion in the media, as John has been photographed with a wide variety of looks since he shot to fame.

But it’s well-known that he has been affected by baldness for many years.

When did this start? And what’s the truth behind the Elton John hair transplant stories online?

Let’s find out …

What was young Elton John’s hair like?

Male pattern hair loss typically starts progressing when men reach their 30’s or 40’s.

While Elton John experienced an earlier onset, as a teenager he didn’t have hair loss problems. Photos of the young Elton John show him with naturally thick, healthy locks.

At the age of 22, he still had great density. In the photo below from 1969, he was sporting a shaggy mane:

When did Elton John start to experience hair loss?

Elton John has said he started to lose his hair in the early 1970s, and that his baldness was quite severe by the time he hit 30.

This is a young age for any man or woman to experience hair loss, and it can be a challenging process, even for individuals with a relaxed approach to their appearance.

But it must be even more difficult for someone in the public eye. The media can be cruel in their coverage, but even if that’s not the case, seeing images of your own receding hairline or bald scalp on newspapers and websites must be hard.

Still, John has often discussed his hair loss openly, with a typical self-deprecating manner.

And he’s had plenty of time to get comfortable with his hair difficulties, as it seems his locks started to shed from his 20s onwards.

Photographs from the late ‘70s show that his hairline has receded significantly, though he still had healthy growth around the back and sides (as countless men do even when they go completely bald on top).

This is important for anyone considering a hair transplant: healthy follicles will be removed from these areas before being implanted into thinning or bald zones on the scalp.

Elton John's hair loss in 1975

John’s hair loss continued to get worse throughout the ‘80s, and many images show that he started to experiment with hats during that decade.

Take a look at the photograph below, taken during the iconic Live Aid fundraising concert in 1985:

Elton John wearing a hat in the 1985's Live Aid

John is sporting a somewhat exotic piece of headwear here. And he looks fantastic — he’s always been capable of looking stylish in flamboyant or eccentric outfits.

Why did Elton John suffer from increased hair loss?

Elton John has blamed a number of causes for his hair loss.

One is drugs and alcohol, with the latter believed to disrupt hair growth due to its effect on zinc absorption and thyroid problems.

Addiction can also severely affect appetite and eating habits.

And this, in turn, may leave addicts malnourished and without the nutrition they need for healthy hair growth. Protein, in particular, is a vital part of the body’s natural hair growth cycle, as this is what follicles are primarily made of. Too little can trigger hair loss over time.

In 1978, John also claimed that “messing around” with his hair, such as dying it multiple vibrant colours, could have contributed to his hair loss.

It’s also possible that a family history of hair loss, such as male pattern baldness, could have caused John’s shedding.

What kind of hair treatment did Elton John have at first?

Elton John first opted for a hair transplant in the ‘70s. He had two sessions carried out almost back to back. In his autobiography, he revealed that both hair treatments were performed with the strip (or FUT) technique.

Unfortunately, both procedures were unpleasant for John. He has discussed, with admirable frankness, the sheer discomfort he experienced during and after his hair transplants.

Was the first treatment successful?

Sadly, both of the Elton John hair transplants failed.

There are some crucial factors to consider here. First and foremost, hair transplants so long ago were incredibly basic compared to today’s innovative solutions.

The technology available to surgeons then would have made transplanting hair follicles precisely, without damaging them, much more difficult than it is now.

John has said that he wore a hat straight after his first hair transplant, despite being explicitly told not to, which he also believes may have affected the quality of the results.

It’s possible that this interfered with the hair’s regrowth.

Again, though, the problem may lie in genetics. People experiencing male pattern baldness often have the AR (Androgen Receptor) gene in the “X” chromosome (inherited from the mother), which can double the risk of developing the condition.

It’s generally recommended that patients with male pattern baldness wait until the hairline has receded as far as it’s going to before undergoing a transplant.

Otherwise, the shedding could continue and further treatment will be required to restore growth effectively across the scalp.

Professional aftercare following the transplant is vital to identify any potential problems as early as possible, and to answer any questions that may arise about the recovery.

It’s unclear whether the team behind both Elton John hair transplant procedures provided extensive check-ups.

But he was clearly unhappy with the outcome of his treatments, and has accepted that hairpieces are the ideal option for him.

Was Elton John using wigs for a while?

Elton John started to put hats aside and embrace wigs more regularly during the 1990s.

Recalling his first wig, he said:

„I remember the review when I came out for the Freddie Mercury concert at Wembley. It said I came out with a dead squirrel on my head.”

But over the years, his hairpieces came a long way in quality too, helping him achieve looks that he is happy with.

The image below is from 1997, the year in which he re-released Candle in the Wind for the late Princess Diana.

It shows John wearing a convincing wig, and he appears much more youthful than he did with his receding hairline years earlier.

Elton John with a wig peforming in 1997.

What other hair treatments did Elton John try?

It appears that John only tried two hair transplants but no other forms of treatment, such as topical applications or common products such as minoxidil.

However, while minoxidil may cultivate regrowth for some patients, it’s far from guaranteed and the results are only temporary.

As soon as you stop using the treatment, hair loss is highly likely to resume. This requires a lifelong commitment to both the medication and the cost involved.

How hair transplantation evolved since Elton John’s first treatment?

Elton Johns first hair transplant was painful and not at all successful. However, the technology has moved on substantially since.

The best hair transplants available today are minimally invasive and painless.

Surgeons take great care to ensure patients remain comfortable and relaxed during procedures — they may even allow you to watch a movie or listen to music to keep you entertained.

Modern hair transplants are, for the overwhelming majority of patients, the most effective way to restore hair.

There are two options to choose from:

  • Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)
  • Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUT

During FUT procedures, surgeons cut a strip of flesh from the back of the patient’s head and slice it into tiny pieces to harvest the healthy follicles.

These are then implanted into incisions in the scalp.

As a result of FUT’s invasive nature, it causes visible scarring on the back of the head.

This can reduce the level of freedom that patients have to experiment with hair cuts and styles in the future. Particularly if they want to keep their hair transplant surgery discreet.

FUE

FUE is a more popular option than FUT today.

That’s because it’s a minimally invasive treatment that leaves no visible scars on the back of the head, providing patients with the flexibility they need to try any hairstyle they like over time.

At HairPalace, our surgeons use the state-of-the-art FUE2 Safe System to transplant hair in a safe, painless, effective way.

A handheld micro punch tool extracts follicles with unparalleled precision, and makes transplanting them into balding areas more efficient. There’s almost no danger of harming grafts, and 95 – 100% of implanted hairs grow back.

The FUE2 SafeSystem is available for between just £1690 and £3890 when you visit HairPalace’s hair clinic in Budapest.

This is far more affordable than average UK prices, which vary from £6000 to £15000.

It’s unclear how much the Elton John hair transplant treatments cost, but you can achieve the best results available today at highly competitive rates — and you’ll even get to see Budapest, one of Europe’s most beautiful cities!

Outstanding Service and High Quality HT

My HT with Hair Palace was undertaken about 16 months ago, in August 2019. I decided to write a review now, as I wanted to share both the HT and post surgery experience.

The client service from Hair Palace is exceptional. My case manager was readily available, responding quickly to any queries or requests.

There was clear and lengthy communication about airport transport, accommodation, surgery schedule, medication and post surgery care.

The communication from the case manager continued post surgery, at regular intervals throughout the next 12 months.

This was a regular check on hair progress at various stages. This was reassuring and comforting for a first time patient and visitor to Hungary.

I can support wholeheartedly, the numerous comments about the cleanliness of the accommodation, superior service at the clinic and 2 days of surgery treatment.

Most comments regard the trip to Budapest, the surgery and immediate post care. I will go further and verify about the hair transformation.

I had 6200 hairs transplanted to frontal scalp area, Zone 1. The density of my hair had extraordinary growth over 12 months, after first 4 months of surgery recovery.

The final result goes above and beyond of what I thought it would look. The hair looks natural, feels stronger and the hairline is well defined.

My confidence has been regained and Im thrilled with the end result.

I would recommend the Hair Palace, without a doubt.

I cant emphasize enough, how the post surgery care is JUST AS IMPORTANT.

Please stick to Hair Palace’s post surgery schedule of hair treatment plan/recovery- including hair wash, avoidance of exercise, sun exposure, break before resuming work etc. This is just as vitally important.

My final 2 cents of advice: The surgery is only half the battle, be patient with the post surgery care and stick rigidly to the treatment plan given.

Short term pain, for long term gain! Thank you so much, Hair Palace!

UK versus HairPalace experience

I might be in a useful position to offer a review as, about 5 years ago, I had a transplant procedure here in the UK and so can offer a comparison between the procedure and experience here (which was excellent, by the way) and that I experienced with HairPalace.

In short, the overall experience, treatment and care, from the HairPalace were, in my opinion, at least as good, if not slightly better, than the UK experience.

I selected HairPalace on the basis of extensive internet research and the experience of a relative who had been for two procedures with them and I could see the results for myself.

From booking the first consultation here in the UK, to pre-travel advice, the experience and procedure in Hungary and the subsequent after-care, the experience was first class.

The accommodation in which you stay is very new and clean, if functional.

The clinic itself is modern, impressive and spotlessly clean.

The staff ratio is at least on a par with UK standards and may have been slightly better.

The treatment and procedure itself was identical to the UK. For those concerned about pain, the injections are uncomfortable for a fraction of a second – and then you don’t feel anything for the remainder of the procedure.

And for those with a needle phobia, it is actually the lidnocaine, rather than the needle, which causes the sensation of discomfort.

I had been assessed as needing 4,000 grafts during consultation. When the procedure commenced the Dr advised me that she would try to achieve 4,000, but had to ensure that the donor sites could support this number and I would end up with the most natural and positive result.

In the end, she advised me that she could only harvest 3,000. Whilst this was a little disappointing – the key point here is that rather than “over-promise” and “over-harvest”, the Dr was focused on the best and most natural outcome.

I think this is a very positive hallmark of their approach.

All the staff (and people I met elsewhere in Budapest) were extremely friendly and helpful.

Two weeks on, the results look very good – time will tell, but so far, so good. As many others comment – “I just wish I’d had it done a few years earlier”.

And in terms of cost? About 20% of the cost of the earlier UK procedure. And although the procedure took virtually the same time as for 3,000 v 4,000 gratfs, so the staff were there all day and clinic in use all day for me – they refunded the cost difference for the 1,000 grafts without the issue even being raised.

Overall, extremely professional set-up and people, for a fraction of the price you’d pay here.

If I had enough donor-hair left for a third procedure(!) – I’d be going back to HairPalace without a doubt.

How much is the hair transplant in Sheffield?

Recent years saw an increased interest in aesthetic procedures and somewhat reduced the stellar prices of hair restoration procedures too.

Yet the cost of a hair transplant in Sheffield can still be prohibitive. With clinics charging £2-4 per hair, a single session can be up to £15000.

Naturally, the total cost depends on how many hairs you need, and which hair transplant technique you choose.

In addition, the location will impact the price too. Thus, if you are willing to travel for your treatment, you can further lower the prices.

HairPalace has hair clinics in London, Paris and in Budapest. We have the same protocols and policies in place ensuring that your hair transplant experience will be the same at all of our locations.

Our clinics are equipped with the latest technologies allowing our teams to offer you the highest standards in hospitality and know-how, with spectacular results.

The local salaries and running costs dictate higher prices in the UK. As a result, hair transplant costs at our London clinic range from £1989 to £9042.

Due to economic reasons, providing the same standards costs us much less in Hungary. Consequently, we can offer you much more affordable prices.

Our comprehensive treatment packages – including the FUE2 surgery, the accommodation and the transfers – are available between £1490 and £3890.

For an accurate quote, please feel free to reach out to our experts!

What hair transplant method do we use?

We use the FUE2 SafeSystem method for such procedures which happens to be the most advanced one to date offering the highest success rate possible.

Similarly to the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method, with this technique the surgeon is able to extract and implant the hairs one by one. However, thanks to its blunt punch and depth-regulating device, it exposes the hair to less damage than before.

We recommend the FUE 2 SafeSystem method for the numerous benefits it offers:

  • minimally invasive
  • completely pain-, and scar-free
  • provides the highest success rate, with up to 90-95% of the implants growing out
  • provides high density and natural-looking results
  • short recovery

I recently visited HairPalace in Budapest, Hungary and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking of hair transplantation. I did my due diligence and looked at several options before I chose HairPalace and I have to say I did not regret. They are the best from a quality, price, location and customer service point of view.
The entire HairPalace facility, including the patient room, truly five stars. Their customer service is outstanding, the staff is very nice and friendly. Their doctors and assistants are amazing and the whole procedure went well from the very first consultation to all the way through the surgery. Now, after few month post-procedure, I already see the result and I am more than satisfied. Highly recommended clinic!

How much is the hair transplant in Nottingham?

For a hair transplant in Nottingham, you’ll be typically charged  £2-4 per hair.

Naturally, the total costs will depend on several aspects, such as the size of the surgery you need, and the method used.

We offer FUE hair transplants at our clinics in London, Paris, and Budapest.

We have set the same standards and policies to ensure that you receive the same experience and quality at every HairPalace clinic.

However, there is one difference that you’ll surely notice – the price. This is because hair transplant costs are also affected by a frequently overlooked factor, the local economic climate.

Running a private clinic in London is much more expensive than offering the same quality and ambience in Budapest.

FUE2 procedures cost between £1989 to £9042 at our London clinic. But thanks to the economic differences, at our Budapest clinic, we can offer the same service at a more affordable price point. Here, our prices range between £1490 to £3890 depending on the number of hairs you need.

Please feel free to reach out to our experts if you’d be interested in seeing a quote fitting your case.

What hair transplant method do we use?

We exclusively work with the industry-leading FUE2 SafeSystem method.

This advanced follicular unit extraction technique offers a permanent solution to male pattern hair loss.

Its innovation lies in its blunt micro punch – it virtually eliminates the risk of damaging the hairs upon extraction leading to high regrowth.

With almost 10 years of experience in its use, we recommend this method for the following benefits it offers for our patients:

  • minimally invasive
  • reduces the recovery period
  • offers the highest success rates in the industry with up to 90-95% of the implants growing back
  • pain-free treatment
  • no large visible horizontal scars remaining

Our 6 hair transplant surgeons have 5-10 years of experience in FUE hair transplants. They are dedicated to providing excellent, patient-focused service and care.

Why choose HairPalace?

After my first day of just having 3000 …

After my first day of just having 3000 hairs implanted I have to say that the HairPalace team were very professional and courteous. I found the transplant completely pain free. The only bit of discomfort was in numbing the area worked on which is to be expected and the surgeon even rubbed the area of the injection to ease any sensation. The team work very well together providing a friendly atmosphere. My self and the surgeon agreed on the areas of my hair loss that needed the most attention. After just getting back to my apartment from the first day I am looking forward to the second day of treatment for the next 3000 hairs to be implanted. From my experience so far I could not be any happier that I chose HairPalace to do the work.

How much will a hair transplant in Glasgow cost?

While surgical hair loss treatments offer permanent results, many believe that such procedures come at a high cost, deterring them from exploring their options.

The strength of this belief is not surprising with hair clinics in Scotland – and the rest of the UK – charging  £2-4 per hair.

Naturally, the total cost of the hair transplant in Glasgow will be affected by the size of the surgery, the method used, and the location too.

Additionally, clinics may charge you for a more experienced doctor and aftercare visits separately.

We carry out FUE2 hair transplants in London, Paris and Budapest. Thanks to this network of clinics, we can take advantage of the economic differences between the UK, France and Hungary.

In London, our hair transplant prices range between £1989 to £9042, depending on the number of hairs you need.

However, offering the exact same service, on the same high standards, and following the identical protocols is less costly for us in Hungary, than in the UK.

We can pass on the difference to our patients – our prices in Budapest are between £1490 to £3890 for the same treatment.

Which hair transplant technique does HairPalace offer?

At HairPalace, we work with the FUE2, which is the most advanced and the least invasive method available.

Our doctors recommend this type of follicular unit extraction for the numerous benefits it offers for the patients.

Firstly, it uses a blunt micro-punch that minimizes the risk of damaging the roots as the doctors extract the hairs from the back of the head.

The healthy roots have better chances in anchoring in their new place, leading to an exceptional success rate with up to 90-95% of the implants growing out in a year after the surgery.

In addition, the micro-punch is less than 1 mm in diameter and features a blocking device. This results in a short recovery period, while the procedure doesn’t leave large, visible scars on the back of the head.

Working with the finest hair transplant specialists in Glasgow

Though we use the most advanced technique available, it would be ineffective without the expertise of our hair transplant surgeons.

Our doctors have been perfecting their craft for 5-10 years and specialize in surgical hair restoration for male pattern hair loss.

They have the required skills and qualifications to provide you with excellent patient-focused care from start to finish, and the best hair transplant results in Glasgow!

Why should you choose HairPalace?

There is a lot to consider before you go ahead with the hair transplant in Glasgow.

What do we offer at our clinics?

  • A team of experienced hair transplant specialists

A successful hair transplant requires refined skills. Our doctors have 5-10 years of experience in FUE transplants

  • Natural, dense results

The surgeons implant the hairs one by one, following the density and the growth of the rest of your hair. This way, we can achieve dense and natural hair transplant results.

  • Written guarantee on your treatment

At HairPalace, we guarantee the success of the hair transplants we perform. If less than 80% of the implants grow out, we reimplant the missing amount free of charge.

  • No visible scarring at the back of the head

With the FUE2 hair transplant method, the surgeons extract each graft one by one with a very fine micro punch. This leaves no visible, linear scars on the donor area at the back and the sides of the head.

  • Aftercare

The result of the hair transplant is visible 12-15 months after the surgery.  We will monitor the healing and the progress of your hair through regular check-ups, so your surgeon can help you reach the best possible result.

  • Competitive prices

We believe that great service and natural hair transplant results should not equal extortionate prices.

Just an update folks after the 1 year mark…. happy with the results and returning for a 2nd treatment, The initial procedure was in May 18 and by around August when the hair had grew back again the results were very encouraging, unfortunately I didn’t just have one bald area as I was thin over the whole top of my head, so a 2nd procedure was essential to complement the initial procedure.

I am now7 months into my hair transplant and the results are really starting to show, which I am happy with. After 4 months it seemed to just come out of nowhere and getting thicker month by month. Very happy so far, although still slightly thin when photos are taken, in person it’s hard to tell you were actually thin /bald before.

Lewis Hamilton Hair Transplant Rumours: True or False?

$
0
0

Lewis Hamilton is one of the world’s most successful Formula One drivers. Since he started in 2007, Hamilton has driven for McLaren and Mercedes to great acclaim, and was the youngest driver to become Formula One Champion in 2008.

As Hamilton is such a prominent figure in the exciting world of F1, his personal life is often the subject of close media scrutiny. His relationship with beautiful Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger often made headlines due to its on/off nature.

But another common point of discussion are those Lewis Hamilton hair transplant rumours.

Did he actually undergo a hair restoration procedure to bring his hairline back to a more youthful condition?

Let’s explore the Lewis Hamilton hair transplant story to find out if the speculation is true, and provide insights into the treatment he may have chosen.

What did Lewis Hamilton’s hair look like when he was younger?

Lewis Hamilton’s hair has undergone a staggering transformation since he first exploded onto the global racing scene.

Photographs captured in 2007, at the start of Hamilton’s Formula One career, show what appears to be a receding hairline.

And the scalp is clearly visible through his hair, which suggests a lack of density.

Source: Sky Sports

In fairness, the hair’s short length and the strong sunlight in the image above add to the scalp’s visibility.

But the photograph below, taken in 2010, shows that Hamilton’s hair appeared to have receded further and become even thinner throughout the intervening years.

Lewis Hamilton’s even thinner hair
Source: The Sun

Hamilton was also often seen wearing baseball caps during the early phase of his career. Was this a fashion choice or an attempt to hide his hair loss?

Why and when did Lewis Hamilton start to lose his hair?

Lewis Hamilton’s hair loss appears to have started in his early twenties, as the above images show. But why did his hair begin to fall out at such a young age?

Hamilton has kept fairly quiet about his hair growth and the transplant rumours. But he blamed his hair loss on washing his hair with bath soap and “anything [he] had at the time”.

He claimed he would wash it three times per day, which meant it was “always dry”, and never shampooed or conditioned.

Failure to wash the hair with shampoo regularly can cause scalp irritation and even folliculitis (inflammation). The latter may lead to hair loss in some cases.

It’s also possible that Hamilton’s hair loss could result from a family history of baldness. His father, Anthony (pictured below), has a significantly receding hairline.

Source: Eurosport

But photographs of Hamilton sporting longer, denser hair began to appear in the late 2010s.

In 2017, he wore his hair in braids and had been seen with a looser, wavier style — both a far cry from the thinning style seen years earlier at the start of his career.

Source: Action Press

Did he have a hair transplant?

In 2019, Lewis Hamilton hair transplant rumours made national news after he shared images of his full, thick hair.

But he waved speculation away and attributed his hair growth to washing properly.

He insisted that a specialist told him if he didn’t start to take care of his hair properly, he’d lose it within a “short amount of time”.

However, the change in his hair since the late 2000s to the present day is astounding.

While it’s possible that merely embracing a better haircare regimen and washing with quality products played a part in restoring his hair growth, it’s highly likely that he underwent a hair transplant.

Lewis Hamilton's before and after hair transplant
Source: Instagram

If he did opt for a transplant, it’s possible that this was performed during the 2010s. His success has brought unbelievable wealth, so there’s no question that he could have taken advantage of the most advanced technology available.

Has he ever confirmed the treatment?

Lewis Hamilton has never confirmed that he underwent a hair transplant.

Hamilton claimed that “the right advice” and “good products” had helped to save his locks. He also explained that a lack of him“being educated about it” was partially to blame for the poor condition of his hair.

What kind of treatment did he have?

It’s likely that the Lewis Hamilton hair transplant involved Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) treatment, rather than Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT).

What’s the difference?

During FUT, a surgeon removes a strip of flesh from the back of the head and cuts this into grafts comprising multiple follicles.

These are implanted into the thinning/bald area(s) of the scalp, and the wound left by the strip’s removal is closed.

FUT leaves a visible scar on the back of the head that must be covered by long hair, if the patient wants to keep their treatment discreet.

An FUE procedure is minimally invasive. The surgeon removes grafts individually from donor areas, using a micro punch for greater precision. No visible scarring remains in the treatment area.

The cost of FUE treatments varies. Prices at UK hair clinics are typically in excess of £9000 when 6000 hairs are required.

But HairPalace offers the latest FUE2 Safe System hair transplants at our Budapest hair clinic.

This is the most effective method available, with 95 to 100% of implanted hairs growing back.

Recovery times are shorter than with other techniques, taking just five to seven days in the majority of cases.

FUE2 hair transplants leave no visible scars and achieve more natural, dense growth.

FAQ

When did he start to have hair loss problems?

Lewis Hamilton already appeared to be experiencing hair loss when he made his professional F1 debut in 2007.

Why did he have hair problems?

Lewis Hamilton has blamed his hair loss on washing his hair with bath soap, rather than shampoo, multiple times each day. His father has a clear receding hairline, so the condition could be hereditary.

Did he have a hair transplant?

Lewis Hamilton has denied having a hair transplant. He claims treating his hair better and using quality products led to his impressive hair growth.

Incredible service and a very smooth hair transplant procedure. Can’t recommend it enough!

I had my hair transplant on the 14th of March 2020, and couldn’t be happier so far! I’ve been having a receding hairline for a few years, and I’ve been on the fence with this decision for a while.

Ultimately, I became increasingly more concerned about my receding hairline and loss of density, so I did a lot of research before deciding on having a transplant.

I stumbled upon Hair Palace due to the great reviews and affordable price, and I’m sure happy that I did!

Everything I’ve been reading about their clinic has been true, and I’m truly impressed by the procedure so far. The staff was informative, always available, and make you feel comfortable with your decision to get a transplant.

The intervention took about 6 hours in total, which includes a lunch break, talking to a doctor about what you want to accomplish with the transplant, deciding on a hairline, and preparing for the transplant.

The doctor Csilla Kelemen and the interpreter Barbara were both very welcoming and extremely professional, and I couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you both!

I was due to have 3000 hairs transplanted, but ended up having 3144 hairs and hadn’t had to pay anything extra for the 144 hairs.

The food options were really good (hungarian food, italian, burgers, etc) and they have a great selection of movies to choose from while you’re having the transplant. It definitely felt quicker than it actually was, and they take such a good care of you!

I’ve just finished my transplant, so it’s too early to talk about the final result. But the density and direction of hair look natural and if everything goes well, I’m hopeful that the results will be great.

I’ll post another update once I’m 6 months or so into it.

Can a hair transplant scar be removed?

$
0
0

Hair transplants have come a long way since Norman Orentreich performed the first procedure for male pattern baldness in 1952. The cutting-edge technology available to surgeons today ensures natural, seamless hair restoration beyond anything patients may have imagined possible decades earlier.

Celebrities such as Jamie Laing, Antonio Conte, and James Nesbitt have all brought wider attention to the exceptional results modern hair transplants can achieve.

But despite the huge advancements made in the hair restoration field, and the positive publicity surrounding the latest treatments, you may still have doubts about trying it.

And that’s understandable: any form of surgery, no matter how minor, no matter how safe, is a big step.

There’s a lot to consider, and one of the most common concerns we encounter is scarring.

Nobody wants to develop scars, particularly as a result of a surgical procedure you might prefer to keep discreet.

Fortunately, there’s good news: hair transplant scars are less visible than you might expect today.

Especially when you’re in the hands of experienced hair restoration surgeons using state-of-the-art tools.

But why do hair transplants cause scars? And how can they be treated?

Why does every hair treatment leave a scar?

Sadly, there’s no such thing as a scarless hair transplant.

When the flesh is subject to physical trauma, scar tissue is formed. Even a wound as small as a shallow cut can create scar tissue beneath the skin’s surface.

Hair transplants involve making incisions into the flesh on the scalp, and the back and sides of the head.

This is essential for harvesting and transplanting healthy hair follicles into thinning/balding areas across the scalp.

Even the most advanced hair restoration technology requires doctors to make tiny wounds in the skin.

Still, the treatment method you choose will determine the extent of scarring you can expect to see in the months following your procedure.

What types of hair transplants and scars exist?

Two types of hair transplant are available today:

  • Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)
  • Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

Follicular Unit Transplantation

FUT is an invasive form of hair transplant surgery still widely available round the world:

  • the surgeon cuts a strip of flesh from the back of the head (which is why this treatment is sometimes known as “strip surgery”)
  • they dissect the strip into small grafts comprising between one and three hairs each
  • these grafts are inserted into tiny incisions in the target area(s) of the scalp
  • the wound created is closed with delicate stitching, which remains in place for around two weeks

With FUT scarring is much more visible

The invasive nature of Follicular Unit Transplantation means scarring is much more visible once the wound on the back of the head has fully healed.

This can limit the patient’s choice of hairstyle in the future, particularly if they want to maintain discretion.

In this case, the patient would need to wear their hair longer than they may otherwise choose to.

Follicular Unit Extraction

FUE is a more modern hair restoration method, ideal for patients who want to avoid visible scarring as best they can.

The FUE hair restoration method

This minimally invasive procedure follows a different process:

  • the surgeon uses a precise micro punch to extract one graft at a time from the donor areas at the back and sides of the head (usually shaved before treatment)
  • these extractions are performed in a staggered pattern to prevent noticeable thinning in donor areas
  • these grafts are inserted into microscopic slits in the target areas (e.g. the hairline, the crown)

The major advantage of the FUE method compared to the FUT is the lack of a visible linear scar on the back of the head.

Patients can enjoy greater freedom to choose haircuts and styles that may be shorter, with less need to worry about remaining discreet.

However, the wounds made during an FUE procedure are amazingly minute, comprising a series of tiny dots across the target area.

Patients are generally stunned by the scars’ fast healing, and are delighted when new hair growth starts to cover them.

David before and after his hair transplant

If you wear your restored hair longer than a grade 1 or 2 length, your scarring will likely be invisible to the naked eye.

You should be free to choose almost any haircut without people noticing your scars.

When surgeons perform FUE hair transplants, they must take care to extract healthy follicles in a balanced way to avoid creating clusters of scar tissue beneath the scalp.

Fortunately, the FUE2 Safe System (as used at HairPalace hair clinics) empowers surgeons with the precision to extract grafts from donor areas with unparalleled accuracy.

There’s also a minor risk of developing keloid scarring if you’re prone to them.

These raised scars can grow bigger than the wound that formed them in the first place.

How can you fix a hair transplant scar?

If you want to minimize the visibility of hair transplant scars, they can be treated in a number of ways:

Can a hair transplant scar be removed?

A hair transplant scar cannot be “removed” exactly, but one option is to implant grafts back into scar tissue to provide greater coverage.

This involves removing a small number of follicles from donor areas, creating incisions, and implanting the grafts directly into scar tissue.

This will add even more density to the areas of transplanted hair and offer greater discretion.

However, scar tissue is different to surrounding skin and this method may not be totally successful.

A thorough consultation and detailed assessment is required. Dedicated aftercare will be necessary to monitor growth.

Keloid scarring may be treated through:

  • surgical removal
  • corticosteroid shots
  • freezing
  • laser therapy
  • pressure treatment

Again, though, the risk of a hair restoration procedure causing keloid scarring is slight.

Fractional lasers may also help. This is a form of treatment in which lasers stimulate tissue beneath scars to remove damaged skin cells and replace them with new ones.

However, this may only be necessary if you want to wear your hair extremely short.

Can hair transplant scars be covered?

You can cover hair transplant scars with your hair, though you’ll need to wait for this to grow back in the target and donor areas (if the latter have been shaved).

If you’re concerned about visible scarring, you may prefer to wear a hat in the meantime.

Alternatively, if you want to wear your hair extremely short (grade 0 or 1 length), scalp micropigmentation could be a viable solution.

This is a cosmetic procedure in which the scars are coloured to match your hair tone, similar to tattooing.

Any visible scarring would be even less noticeable once the pigmentation and hair blended.

How long does it take to see results?

The results of a FUE2 hair transplant at HairPalace will take between 12 and 18 months to reach their final stage.

Crusts will appear on the head during the first week after surgery, but this is normal. Gently massaging the area will encourage them to disappear.

Between one and three months, your new hairs will fall out. This is normal: it’s just part of the natural growth cycle.

They will gradually grow back over subsequent months — until you have thicker, healthier, more youthful coverage.

How soon will the scar heal and fade?

Scars from a FUE hair transplant will heal within a few weeks of your surgery.

But the strip wound caused by an FUT procedure will take longer to heal, as it’s much larger than incisions created by the FUE micro punch.

The scarring will continue to fade as the hair starts to regrow, and will be hidden beneath the hair.

Summary: Is it worth having a hair transplant in spite of the scar?

Everyone has to decide whether a hair transplant is right for them independently.

There are minor risks involved with any form of surgery, even when it’s minimally invasive.

This is why a comprehensive consultation with a surgeon is so important.

They’ll examine your hair and scalp before creating a tailored treatment plan. Once this is complete, they’ll discuss the results you can expect to see in depth.

But generally, the answer is yes!

A hair transplant can restore hair, lower the hairline, and cultivate more youthful density across the scalp to achieve amazing results.

HairPalace has helped hundreds of patients restore their hair through the latest FUE2 Safe System method, and the results speak for themselves (as you can see below).

FAQ

Does every hair treatment leave a scar behind?

Yes, every hair transplant treatment leaves scars behind. The extent of scarring varies based on the type of hair transplant chosen: FUT or FUE. The FUE2 method uses an innovative micro punch to extract healthy hair follicles precisely, leaving no visible scarring in donor areas.

What types of scars exist?

Different types of post-transplant scars exist. FUT transplants leave a linear scar on the back of the head, while FUE treatments cause tiny scars in donor and target areas. These will be covered by the hair when its growth is complete.

Can a scar be removed?

A scar’s visibility can be reduced through numerous treatments. These include laser resurfacing, scalp micropigmentation, and implanting hair grafts into scar tissue for extra coverage.

Excellent service and surgery

I arrived yesterday in Budapest airport and was picked up immediately by their taxi driver who was very friendly and drove me directly to their premium apartment, which was very clean and comfortable.

The staff was very friendly, especially the dedicated translator and doctor, who guided me towards determining the final hairline.

I was given a meal of my own choice during the lunch break of superb quality.

Overall I can only recommend HairPalace to anyone thinking about getting a hair transplant.

They really made the process smooth and without pain. I am looking forward to see the final result in 6-12 months!

A very welcoming and professional…

A very welcoming and professional experience was had at Hair Palace.

Everything ran smoothly. We were met at the airport by a driver, as transfers were provided and then taken to the apartment where my wife and I stayed.

I must add that this was very clean and very comfortable.

The transplant went very well, with no pain except for the initial injections which were slightly uncomfortable.

The staff were very professional and very honest, giving a good clear understanding of what they expected to achieve for my individual self.

In otherwords, I didnt feel I was misled in anyway.

Good clear detailed instructions for after care were given on leaving.

You are very relax while they extract from the donor area and whilst they implant the hair follicles, you are able to watch a film of your choice.

A good substantial two course meal was also provided on both days.

I would highly recommend Hair Palace and look forward to the seeing the results that they have achieved.

Many thanks again to you all!

Excellent Clinic

Excellent Clinic, I just had my transplant completed a day ago.

Very early stages but my experience was excellent from the collection at airport, the clean apparment, to the procedure it’s self.

Dr Erika Gucsi was my surgeon and was very professional could not recommend her highly enough.

She was able to provide the best advise for the most natural hair line.

I had no pain really during the surgery at all. The needles for the anaesthetic were a little uncomfortable for the first few injections and then as your head begins to numb you can’t really feel anything. I fell asleep a few times I was so relaxed.

The instructions to follow post op were clearly explained and are provided to you to take home.

I will definitely be recommending this clinic to my friends…

Hair palace review from a Londoner

So decided on getting a consultation following great reviews in their london office, where a professional, detailed analysis was conducted under a digital microscope, a plan was drawn up, and a quotation given, all free and no obligation!

Having decided to go ahead later on, I decided to attend their budapest treatment clinic, impressions were great from the start, I had a driver waiting for me from the airport to take me to the apartment provided, which was perfect, homely, clean and super convenient, exactly what you need when a daunting procedure is to follow.

The professionalism was further bolstered upon arrival to the clinic for the actual procedure, facilities were very modern, clean and spacious, all staff super friendly.

A special mention to my coordinator/translator Maya who is a lovely young lady. Great quality lunches were also provided.

The surgeon and support crew were all super professional, and was never left with any unanswered questions or doubts on aftercare.

On the whole I’m super glad I chose these guys, who are clearly very experienced, and whilst it’s obviously too early to see results, I’m in no doubt they will meet/exceed expectations.

I’m glad I chose these guys over, say a Turkish establishment, as I find the order and attention to detail in this country superior, and this showed with hair palace.

Totally recommended.

A mature hairline: what is it, how to prevent or treat it?

$
0
0

Hair loss affects a staggering 35 million men and 21 million women. The extent of thinning can differ drastically, ranging from barely visible hair loss to full baldness.

And for males, one of the most common types of hair loss is the mature hairline.

But what are the telltale signs? When does it start to affect men and, crucially, what can be done about it?

You’ll find the answers to these (and more) big questions below.

What is a mature hairline?

A mature hairline is a natural change in a man’s hair. This mild form of hair loss starts to affect men as they emerge from adolescence and enter the daunting world of adulthood.

It’s just a small part of that unavoidable evolution weall experience as we age.

As the hairline matures, it begins to recede further back along the scalp, moving away from the forehead in so subtle a way some men might remain blissfully unaware.

Juvenile hairline vs. mature hairline

The juvenile hairline is essentially a straight line running directly across the forehead.

Most teenage boys will have a clear juvenile hairline, though some young men may hold onto theirs for longer. Any maturing to their hairline could be minimal or virtually invisible.

For example, in this picture of Zac Efron from 2012, we can see that he has a spectacularly juvenile hairline.

It appears to be completely linear, and beautifully complements his dense, stylish hair:

Zac Efron's mature hairline in 2012

Amazingly, Zac Efron still appears to have a fairly juvenile hairline several years later, as this more recent picture shows:

A bejegyzés megtekintése az Instagramon

Zac Efron (@zacefron) által megosztott bejegyzés

But many other male celebrities have developed noticeable mature hairlines. Assassin’s Creed actor Michael Fassbender (below) has one:

Michael Fassbender's visible mature hairline

Ryan Reynolds, star of Deadpool and so many other movies, also sports a clear mature hairline:

A bejegyzés megtekintése az Instagramon

Ryan Reynolds (@vancityreynolds) által megosztott bejegyzés

Still, Michael Fassbender and Ryan Reynolds both have full, healthy hair. But their hairlines have receded to a higher point on their foreheads to form a moderate ‘M’ shape.

When does a mature hairline start and stop?

The mature hairline will usually start to develop between 17 and 30 years of age.

This process can vary from one man to another, and some may seem to avoid it altogether — again, compare Zac Efron’s adult hairline to that of Ryan Reynolds.

A man’s hairline may only recede by a few millimetres as it matures, though it could rise by more than an inch.

However, if the hairline continues to recede further and creeps back onto the scalp, this is more than simple maturation: it could be an early sign of baldness.

Is it a normal phenomenon?

It’s absolutely normal to develop a mature hairline.

It’s nothing to worry about. It’s nothing to lose sleep over. It’s just one of those little signs of ageing that affect us all.

Still, just because a mature hairline isn’t explicitly negative doesn’t mean many men won’t feel stressed or self-conscious about it.

Especially if they believe their hair is a key part of their character and style.

But developing a mature hairline doesn’t mean a man will lose more of his hair or go completely bald.

How to identify if you have a mature hairline?

It’s fairly easy to identify a mature hairline.

The forehead may appear slightly larger than before, and some shedding can occur at the temples.

This is what creates that distinctive ‘M’ pattern that countless men develop well into their twenties or thirties.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s mature hairline is easy to identify, and has been for some time.

But his may appear to be more pronounced due to his widow’s peak (which we’ll discuss below).

the mature hairline of Leonardo DiCaprio

How to identify the stages of a mature hairline?

A mature hairline will begin with mild recession at the front and corners (at the temples).

Depending on the extent of maturing, the hairline may resemble a ‘M’ or (‘V’ in some cases).

Generally, the hairline will mature throughout a man’s twenties but will stop short of receding onto the scalp.

Hair loss may occur on the crown of the head if he has inherited thinning or baldness from a relative, though it could be due to another common cause such as medication or stress.

But if the hairline continues to recede and more of the scalp becomes exposed, it’s possible that it signals the onset of more substantial hair loss.

A man may experience thisat a young age, but thinning could continue over a number of years.

If you’re concerned that your maturing hairline could actually be an indicator of more extreme hair loss, such as male pattern baldness (MPB), a consultation with a hair loss specialist may help.

They will be able to assess your scalp and hair density carefully, before providing you with a detailed insight into the level of shedding you can expect to experience in the future.

What is the difference between mature hairline, receding hairline, widow’s peak, thinning hair and baldness?

Mature hairlines

Mature hairlines can be mistaken for the beginnings of hair loss, but in most cases, it’s unlikely to go further.

Thinning may occur at the crown or on top of the scalp over time, but the hairline may only rise an inch or so from its juvenile position.

Johnny Depp’s hairline shows classic maturation: it’s high on the forehead and rises at the temples, forming that subtle ‘M’ shape:

Source: Huffington Post

Receding hairline

Men with a receding hairline experience a much higher rise of the hairline, typically starting from the temples.

Compared to the mature hairline, the hairline recedes more than an inch.

Additionally, in these cases, the thinning continues to progress further towards the mid-top over the years.

As it is one of the signs of male pattern hair loss, it is often accompanied by thinning at the crown.

Widow’s peak

Men and women can develop a widow’s peak.

This is a V-shaped growth of hair extending towards the forehead’s centre, dropping lower than the surrounding hairline.

Chris Hemsworth, known for his impressive turn as the mighty Thor in the Marvel movies, has one:

A bejegyzés megtekintése az Instagramon

Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) által megosztott bejegyzés

The term comes from a historical belief that a woman with this V-shaped hair pattern would outlive her husband due to its resemblance to the pointed hood once wore during a lady’s period of mourning.

The widow’s peak can be an incredibly distinctive feature. Jack Nicholson’s, for example, has always been a key part of his look, combined with his usual swept-back hairstyle:

Source: Warner Bros.

When a man with a widow’s peak develops a mature hairline, the V-shaping will become more prominent.

Thinning hair

Thinning hair is entirely different to maturation of the hairline, though one may follow the other.

Hair typically thins on the top of the head, at the crown, or on the rest of the scalp.

The degree of thinning can differ wildly: the skin beneath may be slightly visible from certain angles or highly visible from any angle.

For example, Prince Harry has thinning hair close to his crown:

The thinning hair of Prince Harry
Source: Max Mumby

Thinning hair can be incredibly difficult to cope with for some men, though treatments are available. This condition may lead to further baldness over time.

Baldness

Baldness may be total or partial, as with male pattern baldness.

Men who develop MPB may notice a maturing hairline before or at the same time that they developthinning on the scalp.

Hair loss may occur across the entire top of the scalp while the back and sides remain unaffected.

Or an ‘island’ of hair often remains, though some men prefer to shave this a  consistent look.

Many men in the public eye are easily recognisable by their bald scalp, and it has become a defining physical trait for some.

That’s certainly the case with Star Trek legend Patrick Stewart:

A bejegyzés megtekintése az Instagramon

Patrick Stewart (@sirpatstew) által megosztott bejegyzés

Other men, though, find their baldness harder to accept. Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has been open about his experience of hair loss, which developed in the standard MPB pattern:

Source: Eurosport

Rooney has undergone a number of hair transplants, though it appears that he will need to wait until his thinning is complete before he can expect permanent results.

How to deal with a mature hairline?

Some men may not notice their maturing hairline.

But others can feel self-conscious about this gradual change in their hair growth and worry that they’re destined to lose all of their hair.

Yet it’s vital to remember that a maturing hairline is a normal part of becoming an adult, whether it affects every man or not.

If your hairline recedes a few millimetres or an inch but no further, that could be the most hair loss you’ll experience for decades.

You may feel more comfortable if you change your hairstyle to minimise the visibility of your maturing hairline.

For example, growing your hair longer so that it hangs across your forehead can help to maintain discretion.

This could be particularly effective if you have healthy hair growth across your scalp: you’ll have the flexibility to experiment with different lengths and styles to achieve a look you’re happier with.

But it’s best to avoid cutting your hair too short if you want to make your mature hairline less noticeable. A crew cut, for example, can accentuate it more than you may expect.

Again, you could benefit from booking a consultation at a reputable hair clinic if you’re uncomfortable with your mature hairline.

A hair loss expert may be able to set your mind at ease about the likelihood of further growth, at the very least.

They might also recommend a treatment method capable of lowering your hairline and creating more dense, visible growth.

Can a mature hairline be prevented?

A mature hairline cannot currently be prevented. However, hair loss that occurs can be treated with a hair transplant.

This will restore density to the hairline and bring it slightly lower. The forehead may appear less prominent following successful regrowth.

A Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the best option for anyone considering a hair transplant.

This involves extracting healthy hair follicles from the back and sides of the head using a precise micro punch.

The surgeon performing the procedure will implant the harvested follicles into the scalp to lower the hairline.

This may only require a small number of donor follicles depending on the extent of maturation that has occurred.

The FUE2 Safe System is the most advanced form of FUE treatment.

This can achieve high success rates, with 95 – 100% of implanted hairs growing back. Men who undergo this treatment can expect seamless, natural, permanent results.

But it’s crucial that you have a consultation with a hair transplant doctor before planning your treatment.

They will be able to determine whether or not you’re an ideal candidate for the surgery.

This involves examining the condition of your hair and scalp, so they can understand if further hair loss is likely to occur.

If so, they will recommend that you wait until the shedding has run its course to ensure the most effective treatment.

10 hairstyles that suit mature hairline well

Men with a mature hairline may have healthy hair growth on the rest of their scalp.

This gives them the freedom to experiment with different hairstyles to frame their face and either reduce the visibility of their maturing hairline — or embrace it.

FAQ

What does it mean?

The term ‘mature hairline’ refers to the change in a man’s hair as he becomes an adult. The hairline will recede slightly to a higher point on the forehead and may create an ‘M’ or ‘V’ shape (particularly if the hair has a natural widow’s peak). This tends to occur between the age of 17 and 30.

Is it a normal phenomenon?

Yes! The maturation of a man’s hairline is a normal sign of ageing, along with wrinkles and grey hairs. It doesn’t mean that further hair loss is likely to occur.

What treatment options exist?

A man who feels unhappy with the development of his mature hairline may choose to undergo hair transplant surgery. Specialists at a hair clinic can lower the hairline and improve growth around the temples (or higher up on the scalp) by harvesting donor follicles from other areas of the head.

Sharing your challenges with virtual strangers can be much easier than telling friends or relatives.

You may struggle to fully open up if you’re afraid of what the people in your life may think.

But how do you know which forums could work for you?

Below, we’ll explore eight of the best hair loss forum sites for men and women.

We’ll cover key details such as whether you need to register, main topics discussed, and more.

2. HairLoss Talk

6. Bald Truth Talk

  • Hair Transplant Videos, Patient Interviews and Surgeon Q & A
  • Hair Transplant Results
  • Women’s Hair Transplants

While this site is less user-friendly than some other forums on this list, and certainly lacks visual appeal, there is a lot of content to explore if you’re looking for advice.

You must register to join discussions.

7. Good Looking Loser

Good Looking Loser is described as the “original hardcore non-mainstream self-improvement community”.

The Hair Loss Prevention section is home to dozens upon dozens of topics, including:

  • About Hair Restoration (Transplant) and the Doctor to See
  • Hair Transplant Questions
  • The Quest for New Hair
  • Future of Hair Loss

This is clearly aimed at males experiencing hair loss rather than women, and focuses on preventing hair loss through numerous treatments or products.

Still, there are some discussions on hair transplants and preventative measures that may prove helpful if you’re considering a procedure.

8. Tressless: reddit’s hair loss community for sufferers of alopecia and balding

Reddit is one of the world’s biggest forums comprising countless communities.

And Tressless is dedicated to people facing different types of hair loss, with a massive variety of discussions to browse, such as:

  • The things I learned because of my hair loss
  • Shedding, should I be worried?
  • Hair restoration journey begins
  • Can we get some love and appreciation for the women struggling with hair loss on this subreddit?

Reddit is an easy environment to navigate and take part in.

You must register before you can create your own threads or contribute to others.

You can also post visual content, including pictures and videos, which enables people to show their hair transformations.

Anyone can join Reddit and start participating in this community, whether you want to be a silent observer or take a more active role.

Each of these eight hair loss forums is a valuable resource if you’re experiencing hair loss but don’t know what treatment to pursue.

Preparing for a hair transplant can be a long, complicated process if you’re not sure what hair restoration options are available.

Hair Palace Review

I have just come back from my first hair transplant at Hair Palace.

This review will be regarding the experience and process, i’ll provide another update on the success of the transplant in 12 months.

I started thinking about a hair transplant about a year ago now.

I have a bald patch on my crown (which I had treated on this particular visit) and am also receding.

I reached out to HP based on a lot of research and reading through a lot of reviews on various platforms.

I took some photos of my head and was provided with two quotes, one for the crown area and the other for my receding areas, only one area could be treated on my first visit due to the number of hairs taken from the donor area, so I selected the crown first and was given a quote for 4000 hairs.

I then booked the flights which you are required to do in order to confirm your commitment to the intervention and waited for the date to come around.

The communication during this initial process is excellent, HP are so prompt and helpful with their emails and call you to see if you have questions and to support you prior to heading out.

On arrival at Budapest Airport you are met by one of the HP drivers, they have a couple of them and both are very friendly and helpful.

I was driven to my apartment, the accommodation is part of the package cost and is very clean and suitable for a comfortable short stay.

You have a microwave, fridge, oven and electric cooker as well as cutlery and utensils.

They provide fresh towels as well and the bathroom and toilet are very modern and clean.

They provide food services to order from online and there is a shopping centre around the corner which is a 5-10 minute walk, plus a small convenience store literally 30 seconds around the corner.

It is also about an hour’s walk to the main area for restaurants, shops and bars etc or a 10-15 minute taxi.

The duration of my stay was 3 days, day one I had to myself to explore Budapest, day 2 was the day of my blood test which I opted to have done in Budapest at one of the HP partner clinics.

The driver collected me and took me to the clinic which was about 20 minutes away and then drove me back to the apartment.

I then spent another day out and about in Budapest. Day 3 was the day of my intervention.

It’s about a 15 minute walk to Hair Palace from the apartment and on arrival was greeted by a delightful young lady called Maya who was my co-ordinator/interpreter for the day.

She was very friendly and put me at ease straight away answering any questions that I had but also explaining the process step by step.

I started by getting changed into surgical attire in my little privacy cubicle, a HP t shirt, scrubs like trousers and some slippers and was lead into the surgical room for the first part of the process which is taking the hairs from the donor area.

This procedure took around 2 and a half hours and during it I was lying face down on a massage type table.

There are several injections into the back of the donor area to numb the pain, this is a little unpleasant but from there the process is painless.

Afterwards I had lunch, they provide 5 different menus and I found the food to be very nice.

It was then time for my hairs to be implanted into the recipient area.

During this part of the procedure you are sitting in a chair and are given a list of movies to choose from and watch whilst being treated.

More injections were required into the top of the head, again a little unpleasant but not a big issue and then again the process is relatively painless.

I say relatively as towards the end I think the anaesthetic was wearing off a little and I started to feel a little more, again not a big issue though, the pain was the equivalent of a tattoo.

This part took about 3 hours and then I was done.

The doctor and the team of assistants are all so professional, so friendly and very patient.

After the procedure I was taken back to my cubicle and had a consultation with the doctor where forms are signed and instructions for aftercare clearly explained.

Any questions that I have had since have been promptly answered by email, they really are excellent with their communications and I am now healing well 4 days later.

I look forward to seeing the progress of my procedure over the next few months and then the final results in about 12 months time.
